His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum honoured Dr. Nabil Seidah as the winner of the Medicine category at the Great Arab Minds 2025 awards ceremony, held at the Museum of the Future in Dubai. The initiative, the largest of its kind dedicated to celebrating Arab excellence, recognises individuals whose work has made a lasting impact on human knowledge and scientific progress.
Dr. Seidah was recognised for his distinguished medical and research contributions in the field of cardiovascular health, particularly his groundbreaking work on cholesterol regulation. His research has played a critical role in advancing the understanding of cardiovascular diseases, contributing to improved prevention and treatment strategies worldwide.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Seidah reflected on the guiding principle that shaped his journey, noting that his father’s belief that knowledge is something no one can take away has remained central to his career. The Medicine award was selected by a specialised committee chaired by His Excellency Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health and President of the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences.
