The award trophy, presented by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid to the laureates, was the creation of Emirati designer Yasmine Al Mulla, renowned for her award-winning and distinctive designs. Inspired by the millennia-spanning history of Arab culture, Yasmine’s design for the trophy encapsulates the resilience and contribution of the Arab spirit to human civilization. The trophy’s metal base symbolizes the strength and determination of Arabs in making significant contributions under challenging circumstances. This choice of material for the base contrasts with the top portion, which features a phrase about a white stone, symbolizing the purity and inventiveness of Arab culture. The sides of the trophy are adorned with letters from the Ugaritic alphabet, an ancient script considered the earliest alphabet and a testament to Arab ingenuity, discovered at Ras Shamra in Syria. This design element highlights the Arab world’s commitment to innovation and creativity while preserving its cultural and historical identity.
